WP1

The aim of this work package is to provide overall project coordination and management.

The specific objectives are:

1. To ensure efficient management of the ITINERIS project and implement appropriate quality control measures for monitoring the progress of the project activities.
2. To ensure efficient the information flow within the project partners and with the partners, scientific community, and end-users /stakeholders through regular project meetings and project web portal.

This WP will ensure adequate coordination and management of all the project work packages in all scientific, technical, administrative and financial matters and the day-to-day management tasks and the liaison with its Consortium partners.

In order to effectively coordinate and manage a so large project, as ITINERIS, a coordination office will be established to support the Coordinator, hiring specific personnel with the proper technical, management and financial skills. The coordination office will be lead by the Infrastructure Manager. A proper governance system will be established, considering the following figures and bodies:

• the Scientific Coordinator, responsible for the quality and scientific content of the project and for the compliance of the activities carried out with the expected objectives;
• the Financial Officer, responsible of all the financial aspects of the project;
• the Infrastructure Manager, hired specifically for this project, to control and oversee all management operations, people, and strategy developments of the project; he/she will act as head of the coordination office;
• the coordination office, composed by six people, covering both management and financial aspects which will be hired specifically for this project.
