WP3: ITINERIS Training Centre
WP Leader: Alberto Basset – Università degli Studi del Salento, Associate CNR
WP3 aims to develop a Training Centre for National Environmental RIs accessible via the ITINERIS HUB. It coordinates training plans for RI employees and users, focusing on advanced training in science communication and citizen engagement. The WP is divided into eight activities, including setting up the training program, managing training for different environmental domains, and training current and future RI staff. It also includes training on science communication and citizen engagement, targeting students from primary to high schools to promote environmental awareness and knowledge transfer.
Major Objectives
- Develop a single, unified Training Centre for the Italian RIs with major interest in the Environmental domain;
- Maximize the efficiency of the research infrastructures’ operation;
- Ensure excellence of future generations of RIs employees and users;
- Ensure knowledge transfer to all components of civil societies and to citizens.
